The Art for The Blood King is On the Site

July 16, 2007

The art is finally in for The Blood King! Take a look on
my web site--the cover art is on The Blood King page, and
the original full art is on the Hawthorn Moon page. Leave
me a note on the comments or discussion page and let me
know what you think!

Thanks to everyone who joined in the Hawthorn Moon Event.
We had great online turnout and lots of participation at
the six partner sites all around the world.

It's almost time for by Steel Cities Great Northeastern
Book Tour! July 22-28, I'll be in Pittsburgh, Cranberry,
Grove City, Erie and State College Pennsylvania, plus
Cleveland, Youngstown, Boardman and Niles Ohio on tour.
And I'll be a guest author at the Confluence science
fiction convention in Pittsburgh on July 28. If you're in
the area, please come and remember--friends of friends may
bring friends! I'll be blogging and posting photos from the
road, so check back frequently!

The latest on the upcoming book video trailer for The
Summoner and The Blood King--late August! You'll see it
first on my site, so stay tuned.

I've been on the radio a lot lately and will be on even
more in the next few weeks. Check out the links to
SciFiTalk radio and XZone radio for some fun interviews.
Coming up on 7/15 is Today's Author radio and on 7/18 I'm
on DragonPage radio. More coming up in August as well, so
please check the home page for details.

The Blood King manuscript is still being tweaked, but the
good news is we're adding instead of cutting. I'm almost
done with the new stuff editors Mark and Christian asked
for, and then I can get back to working on Book 3. I'm
happy with the additions to The Blood King--I think they
make the world even more real and give more insight into
the characters--and there are some new action scenes as
well.

With all of that, there has been time to sneak some time
off at the beach and camping, and to get to see some
movies. Just saw Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix on
7/13--it was great! Of course, even in 2+ hours there was
a lot of the book they had to leave out--we didn't get
nearly enough of a glimpse of the Order itself or its
members, or of Sirius' house, but it was still good. And
then there was the Transformer movie. I promised to go
because of my little boy, and then ended up liking it more
than I expected. We went with a bunch of cousins on a
rainy day during our camping trip, and watched Transformers
and Ratatouille as a double feature. Perfect for popcorn!
